Chernobyl Holiday Package – What’s Included?
Each Chernobyl experience holiday includes travel, tours and more as you visit the Exclusion Zone. To get started, we need your passport details to get the relevant permits to allow you to pass through each checkpoint.
Any adult over the age of 18 can book a holiday with us and enter the Exclusion Zone.
Travel
Our holiday packages start in Kyiv, where we will arrange transport to and from Chernobyl. It’s a 2-hour journey to reach the first checkpoint, and you are welcome to eat and drink on the tour bus.
When we arrive at Chernobyl, we will guide you through each checkpoint and radiation check. During the day, we guide you step by step around the area as you explore Chernobyl at your own pace. At the end of each day, we take you back to Kyiv to reach your accommodation.
Tours
Every holiday excursion is led by an experienced tour guide. Between taking endless photos and exploring the sites, we will take you through the story of Chernobyl. We can highlight areas and add context to much of what you will see, so you can understand the magnitude of the disaster that occurred here.
Tours are held in groups or can be booked privately. The length of the holiday is also up to you – a weekend? A few days? Just an afternoon or special occasion? We have tour packages to suit.
Pripyat and Chernobyl Holidays
Our tours do more than just take you to see the Nuclear Power Plant at Chernobyl. Nearby,the ghost town of Pripyat is an unmissable place that we can take you to. Walk between the decaying concrete buildings, see nature reclaim vast areas that have been deserted for decades, and get a sense of what life may have been like for the people that had to abandon their homes 30+ years ago.
We can walk you through the abandoned amusement park, beneath the shadow of the Ferris wheel, and through nurseries with toys still littering the floor.
Beyond Pripyat and Chernobyl, historic structures like Radar Station DUGA 1 from the Cold War are waiting to be explored. Travelling along the roads within the Exclusion Zone, you might be lucky enough to spot the thriving wildlife that has returned to this part of Ukraine as well.

- Stops at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant by the designated photo area,

If you’d prefer to experience Chernobyl with a small group of likeminded travellers, you’ll love our group tours. Exploring the Exclusion Zone can be a humbling and emotional experience, so sharing the trip with other travellers is often preferred.
Where to stay on Chernobyl Holiday?
For your holiday, we recommend finding accommodation in Kyiv. There are hotels closer to the Exclusion Zone, however the accommodation in Kyiv is far more comfortable and also offers you access to other attractions in Ukraine.
Don’t worry – we can pick you up regardless! Our tours start and end in Kyiv, so you don’t need to organise any travelling on your holiday.
